Engineers Without Borders East Africa (formerly EWB-USA Uganda Country office), was , established by EWB-USA in 2019 as its country office and supported its growth and transition into an independent organisation with its board of directors. The change comes 15 years after EWB-USA programming began with communities in Uganda and 4- years after establishment of the Uganda office. EWB-EA is a member of EWB – International that brings together the vibrant energy of young engineers and the seasoned expertise of local and global engineering professionals.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision: to drive sustainable development in communities across Uganda and beyond, harnessing the transformative power of engineering.
Our areas of expertise include Energy, WASH, Capacity building, and Environmental engineering. What sets us apart from other engineering organisations is our commitment to Sustainability, Adaptability, and Community-driven development. We work closely with our partners to ensure that their needs and priorities are reflected in our solutions and that our projects are designed to be environmentally and socially responsible
